Returns & Refunds Policy
Contract of Sale
The contract of sale between Tuffmate and the customer begins once the customer has paid in full for the product. Title of goods passes to the customer upon receipt and/or signing for the delivery.
If you cancel an order after it has been dispatched, we will be charged to return it to our warehouse—even if the products have not reached your address. You will be held liable for these transport charges, which will be deducted from your refund. As a distance seller, and to adhere to Distance Selling Regulations, we can only deliver to customers who have a live and operational email address. Customers who do not wish to share an operational email address are welcome to collect from our warehouse by arrangement; with regret, we cannot offer delivery in these instances.
Warranty
All products in the Tuffmate range carry at least a 1-year parts. In the unlikely event of an issue, please contact us on 0161 439 1400 or email support@moderngroup.co.uk.
Please Note:
- The warranty does NOT cover the cost of removal or re-installation of any appliance or equipment.
- The warranty does NOT cover loss of time or loss of earnings.
- It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to check that an appliance is suitable for their property prior to purchase.
- Customers must inspect the appliance for damage or faults (including all moving/sliding parts) prior to installation. Any claims must be reported via email as soon as reasonably possible and categorically before the item has been installed or used.
Damage in Transit
Please check all items for damage before accepting them from the courier. If you are in any doubt as to the condition of the delivery, please feel free to refuse it.
- Reporting Window: All damages or discrepancies must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
- Extension: If you cannot inspect the goods within 24 hours, you must notify us by email within that first 24-hour window; we will then allow a further 24 hours to inspect the goods and report damages.
- Evidence: All damage claims must be recorded with photographic evidence, unmoved from the original pallet/packaging as delivered by the courier.
- Liability: We cannot honour claims for damages reported outside the timeframes stated above, or for goods moved from the pallet/packaging and/or into your property.
Tuffmate will not be responsible for costs incurred by the customer sourcing parts from alternative suppliers. We are also not liable for any installer re-booking fees or loss of earnings due to delivery delays or shortfalls.
